Eat, Drink, Man, Woman is a Taiwanese movie about a retired widowed chef with four daughters. The food preparation techniques and cooking skills demonstrated in the opening minutes are truly spectacular. Give the scene 10 seconds to start, then enjoy.

I've been meaning to see this movie since the 90s. You just gave me a reason to actually look for it now.
A tiny bit of a correction to be made... the movie is Taiwanese, directed by non other than Ang Lee (of Crouching Tiger fame).
