The Stravinsky Fountain at the Georges Pompidou Center was one of my favorite sights in Paris. The sculptures were created by Niki de St. Phalle and Jean Tinguely
That figure in the water looks A LOT like some of the figures at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens (visited last year) -- I uploaded a picture here --> http://picasaweb.google.com/bart.lacks/Atlanta2006/photo#5061579586089980370

They look like the same artist...
That is the Nana fountain by Niki de St. Phalle, made by mosaics. See http://www.pbase.com/davidbl/image/60069222
The Stravinksi Fountain includes works by Niki de St.Phalle (Ballerine Sirene, first photo in my blog) and Jean Tinguely.
Thanks for pointing out the particulars. I will make the correction
Does St. Phalle paint kiddie-rides at third-rate theme parks in spare time?
Dahling, she died in 2002. But something tells me that she would not find such an assignment beneath her dignity.
I like her playfulness and ability to reveal the wit in every day objects.

only the mice . . . can't get behind the mice. they remind me too much of the stuffed frog mariachi bands on sale in the border towns.
