OK, let me see if I've got this straight: C.J. won the quickfire challenge for creating a gourmet burger, but he won no immunity. Instead, he got to choose his team for the Restaurant Challenge. So he chooses Tre, Casey, and Brian. And his team loses.
But they don't really lose, because the other team doesn't win.
Wait, it gets better. Brian and Dale are called in by the judges because both their front house performances were piss poor. But wait. Neither gets sent home. Both are given a second chance, books for their teams, some pats on the back and asked to improve on this week's performances.
Winner: Bravo
Loser: The viewer

Hm, they'll probably eliminate two people next week. I think this is a great challenge. However, it's very difficult to judge. How can one compare people in the front end to chefs in the kitchen. The judges obviously had a hard time with this one. I think they should hire more servers and have all chefs prepare at least one dish. That just seems fair to me.
cj picked brian not hung. he's repeatedly pointed out how much he hates hung.
Thanks Anon. That teaches me not to create a post in a hurry without consulting my notes. Of course I knew that. In my mind CJ chose the best team, which includes Hung, I'm surprised to say.
Has anyone noticed how Hung's behavior in this episode and the last was less cocky?
Personally I thought it was a complete cop out, and was more than a bit annoyed over the entire scenario.
They never give enough time for the Restaurant Challenge. Bravo gives them only 30 minutes to come up with a name, theme, and a look, and it shows. None of their dishes looked good to me either. Next week's show should be better because they have an extra day to plan. Do you think they will cut two contestants next week?
I thought the show slipped back to mediocrity this week too.
Actually, I've never considered the "Restaurant Wars" episodes a good test and always thought they should be given 2-3 days to open their "restaurants".
The Judges, especially Ted, committed the Cardinal Sin of restaurant-reviewing with their complaints of the "heaviness" of The Garage team's entrees.
I agree with you Ms. Place.
Weak as water.
oh shoot. i didn't mind it at all. seems like last year, they had two days. trying to get a restaurant together in such a short period of time is pretty crazy.
but scented candles??? i was screeching NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! what were they thinking??
